Popular free e-mail services include the following:



Google are currently piloting an e-mail service called GMail. You can get details at www.gmail.com but at present you can only open an account by invitation, although the service is likely to be expanded in future. GMail automatically stores all the e-mails you send and receive and features advanced searching technology to allow you to retrieve them later.

Log on to each of the four e-mail services above and follow the instructions to create an account for yourself, eg: joe_bloggs@hotmail.co.uk. As you do this, note down any points which you would wish to make to clients when demonstrating how to set up an email account.

You will use these four accounts in subsequent activities.
