Evaluating online resources for use with younger clients

We define online resources to include both reader development websites for younger clients and also subscription services and databases, to which the public would not normally have access.

Younger clients are, for the purposes of this Outcome, the under-16s. The skills in identifying criteria for evaluation of online resources for younger clients are essentially those described in detail for adult clients in Outcome 2. If you would like to review this material, click the ICTL logo at the top left of the screen to return to the Unit 2 home page and click Outcome 2 from there.

Before proceeding, jot down the additional criteria which you would apply to evaluate the suitability of any website before use with younger clients.
