Identifying current reading experience and preferences

Younger clients are, for the purposes of this Outcome, the under-16s. The skills involved in identifying reading preferences of younger clients are essentially those described in detail for adult clients in Outcome 2. Age and reading age may differ. It is particularly important to keep structured notes of the interview as they will enable you to make reading recommendations based on what was actually said during the interview and not assumptions.
