Activities

Try the following activities:

You have a reader who indicates that they really enjoyed Umberto Eco's "The Name of the Rose". Use the Internet to find 5 other books which might be given to the reader as a proposed reading list or pathway. Your lists should include another book by the same author and other European writers and books within the same genre.

Where you cannot locate an appropriate on-line thematic list, you should be able to construct your own short list of appropriate titles, for example using the library's online catalogue or bookseller's websites.

You have established that a reader who has previously enjoyed reading historical novels set in Regency England now wishes to find out more about this period - history, architecture, fashions etc. Use your library catalogue and other print or online resources to construct a list of 20 titles which would be of interest to the reader.

You've now reached the end of Outcome 2. You can use the menu at the left-hand side of the screen to revisit any section, or you can click the ICTL logo at the top left of the page to return to the Unit 2 home page.
